We decided to take a look at the journey of WhatsApp and just like all other business entrepreneur stories, this one was pretty eventful too. The torch bearers Acton and Koum, took up the challenge to convert their boring life into an eventful one and with the idea of easy chat floating around, their idea took off almost instantly.<br \/>\nThe company was founded in January 2009, however did not gain much prominence until the end of 2009, when it was finally launched as an app for iPhone users. In 2014, WhatsApp was acquired by another Social Networking giant, Facebook for a whooping $19 billion. After this, the success never ceased and presently, WhatsApp has a staggering 700 million monthly active users. Now, isn&#8217;t that insane?
