The Pro Kabbadi League or PKL in India started on 26th July 2014 with a total of 8 leagues consisting of players from all around the world. It is owned by Mashal Sports and directed by Charu Sharma, the ex-CEO of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The 8 teams competing are U Mumba, Bengaluru Bulls, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Telugu Titans, and Puneri Paltan. The final match of the league will be played on August 31.
