Facebook reduces exposure for text-updates from brand pages – News Feed Tweaked

In a recent announcement from Facebook regarding their legendary news feed algorithm, we have learnt that now the social platform will be giving lesser priority to text updates from organizational/company pages.
Chris Turitzin, Product Manager, News Feed Ranking in a recent blog post mentioned that
“Page admins can expect a decrease in the distribution of their text status updates, but they may see some increases in engagement and distribution for other story types.”
Also, the preference will be given to updates having rich link-share where one can see the text along with the image, and other updates which are having only link embedded in the status update will be given lesser exposure.
